Published 2008 August 14 announcement , connections , social media Leave a CommentI had a perhaps frightening realization that I hit some tipping point for social media where the Flock browser suddenly makes sense as a management tool. So please note to right, the spectrum of ways to connect with me in the aptly named “Connect” list. You’ll find your standard group of Twitters and Flickrs and LinkedIns as well the Museum 3.0 Ning network. Join me in the, um, conversation.
Great Q&A of a client (I didn’t do it, but you should still read it)
Published 2008 August 10 client news , inspiration , portfolio Leave a CommentMatt Smith, one of my first clients in the Washington, DC area, who helped me through a rough transition out here. Got a nice little Q&A in the Wash Biz Journal. He’s a got strong creative vision while being an all around great guy. (You’ll even find one of the 30s spots that I edited for them up at their website. Hint: It’s the United Way “Thanks” spot.)

His write-up is strong (as always) so read the whole post. I’d like to highlight one paragraph which was our starting point for the project, essentially, our creative brief:
One of the big problems for the Florida Market District is what Kevin Lynch called legibility. People need an introduction in order to understand what appears to be a chaotic place, a place that was described by a tour goer once as “the anti-Whole Foods.”
Images of the front and back (also at Richard’s site), below the jump.
